Swing Into Spring
I was approached by On the Beat Music to design the programme for their ‘Swing Into Spring’ concert with St Andrew’s Primary School. A simple black & white design was needed, so I applied a slightly 1940s vibe to capture the spirit of this musical evening.
The programmes were produced to A5 size.

The Sound of Design • I’ve been working on a revamped album cover for Sade’s 1985 album “Promise” for uni. This is one of the early ideas that I wanted to share. The design has taken a very different direction since this one though - hopefully I’ll be able to show you the finished article in a couple of weeks.
The ideas for this version came from the light percussion instruments used throughout the album - some of the sounds remind me of coloured shapes. Hard to explain really but as I said, the finished version which I am working towards is far more obviously related to the music. Keep an eye out!

On the Beat | I was commissioned to produce a new company identity for a local music support team. The piano is one of their main instruments for learning, so this needed to be incorporated into a new logo, which was going to be used on invoices and letterheads. I felt a black & white colour scheme was best to reflect the piano keys. The client was really pleased with their new look!
